Q: Prostate?????
Is there only a certain age in which you can feel your prostate, like during puberty can you feel, or if you have an erection. I cant locate my prostate, I know its about an inch in my rectum on the side my penis is on and it about the size of an almond(i think). Can some tell me?

A: actually i think it is further up. maybe 2 or 2 1/2 inches. try sticking your index finger or middle finger further up or as far as it goes then when you are all the way in curve your finger like the gesture people use with their finger to have someone come here and apply gentle pressure with the pad of your finger. the orientation of the hand should such that your arm is front of you with palm facing you.

you’ll find it, if you don’t find it going shallow, then go progressively deeper and move your curved finger pad back and forth like a wind shield wiper blade massaging it from left to right, make sure you give it enough pressure so that you’ll know when you hit it. Still didn’t find it go an 1/8th inch deeper and do the wind shield wiper motion again, keep doing this moving an 1/8th inch each time so you are guaranteed not to overshoot it. i have to go pretty deep with my finger so i think it is closer to about 2 – 2 1/2 inches.

the way i found mine was just going a little deep then doing a strong curve of the finger each time combined with decent amount of circular and left right pressure with my finger pad, if i didn’t hit it then i would go a little deeper still and do the strong curve of the finger with the massaging motions above. kept doing this until I hit it, it was up pretty far. and this is important, i sensed it not by feeling a lump or almond shape or any of that but rather with just nerve sensation from massaging because it is easier doing it this way than trying to feel for lumps because if you may actually be on or near the prostate and mistake it’s feel/shape but with decent amount of pressure massaging you’ll get the sensation feedback needed to find it. Believe me you’ll know when you find, because it feels oh so good!

best of luck

Q: What do prostate orgasms feel like compared to regular orgasms?
Ive been intrigued by this for a while now. When you have a prostate orgasm, is there any indication as to when your going to have one, like there is in a normal orgasm? Like when you are about to have a normal orgasm, you can tell, but is this the case with prostate orgasms, or do they just come all of a sudden?

A: For some guys it’s a more powerful orgasm, some can’t get one at all through standard prostate stimulation.

Some like to mix it up, as regular orgasm is coming at that moment add prostate stimulation for the powerful orgasm.

So it differs from guy to guy. IMO it’s more sudden (so yeah, you can tell it’s coming but not as well) and it’s not as satisfying.

Q: My doctor did a prostate exam and caused me to urinate during the night?
My doctor did a prostate exam and that night I started to urinate during the night for the 1st time 3 times and started to dribble. This has been going on for a few days now. Did my doctor injure my prostate?

A: Your prostate may have swollen in response to the stimulation during the exam, causing it to press against your bladder. I doubt that you’re actually “injured,” but if it doesn’t subside by itself in a few days you may want to consult your doctor again.

Q: How to prevent big prostate/difficulty urinating when you grow up?
My father is 73 and it takes him 10 minutes to pee becasue he has large prostate. Any suggestion what I can do now to prevent having such large prostate when I grow up? So many men have this problem and I wonder what things we, men, can do to avoid suffering from it(?) THANKS.

A: An active sex life. Frequent (1 or 2 per week?) orgasms are supposed to help. Use it or lose it. Its all related, believe it or not.

1 / 3 men have prostate problems. Once you turn 40, get checked annually. Since your father is suffering from it, you may want to begin getting checked at 35 yrs old.

Q: What are typical treatments for an enlarged prostate in dogs?
Our dog has been to the vet, and his prostate was a little larger than normal. We’re still waiting on results from his urine test, but he has all the sypmtoms of BPH (blood/pus leaking from penis, strained urination and defecation). What are some typical treatments used to shrink the prostate? He’s already on Baytril for any infections he might have. He is an 8 year old, neutered male cocker spaniel.

A: Holistic vet practitioners are seeing more enlarged prostates in dogs and cats. Also a lot more cancer in cats and dogs. There are homeopathic remedies you can give you dog to reduce his prostate and reduce the likelihood of cancer. The article below has more information on the prostate problem in dogs as well as how to treat it naturally at home. Hope it helps, Best, Kate

Q: What are the cures for the enlarged prostate?
I’ve had problems with my prostate since I was 20. But back then the cure was some surgery that would remove part of the prostate. I’ve herd of a drug that shrinks the prostate with a lot of side effects. Have any progress been made to better the cure of prostate besides the pills? Thank you for the respond.

A: homeopathy has some few medicines it helps ask a homeopath

or look up google or german homeo book

Q: What does the prostate gland do, and why is it so susceptable to cancer?
I have been told that the recommended age to get the prostate checked, is 40 years old. What is the significance of that age? Is is just random? Is it that studies and current evidence show that problems with the prostate tend to show up at 40, but not earlier?

A: the prostate is a walnut sized gland that encircled the urethra, the tube through which urine passes. This gland produces the seminal fluid, it forms most of the ejaculation. They don’t know the exact reason, but there is evidence that a high-fat diet may play a role in promoting it’s development. Recurring prostate infections and a genetic predisposition to prostate cancer are also possible factors.
When a man reaches middle age, it often starts growing. It appears to be mainly caused by hormonal changes associated with aging.

Q: What is the best prostate massager on the market?
What is the best prostate massager on the market? I would prefer to find one that would provide more stimulation than not enough. I have tried a prostate massager before but it didnt do anything for me. Money is no object.

Thanks :-)

A: You won’t go wrong with Fleshlight or Fleshjack.

Q: What are ways to maintain a healthy prostate?
Men, mostly middle age men have prostate problems sometimes. It is a frequent getting up at night, burning in the lower back. What foods or supplements are good for your prostate. Does drinking Coffee or eating fatty food affect the prostate?

A: Saw Palmetto has been claimed to help the prostate.

I literally had a urologist tell me that the single most effective way to help keep your prostate healthy is by keeping it “productive and active”.
I asked him what he meant by that. He said to have orgasms on a regular basis. Keeping the fluids changing and regenerating helps it to stay healthy.

So, the next time you tell your significant other that having sex is good for your health, besides being good for your mental well being, you’re not entirely lying about it.

Q: What are the odds that an orchiectomy will reduce the size of the prostate if you have prostate cancer at 87?
I have had prostate cancer for years, now all of a sudden a new urologist says I need my testicles removed to slow the growth. Unless it will reduce the size of the prostate and allow me to urinate without a catheter, why shouldn’t I just stick with the injections if it accomplishes the same thing chemically? Is there any benefit to surgery that is worth the pain and risk?

A: i’d get another opinion.

Q: What are the chances of my grandpa surviving prostate cacner?
Ok so I just found out my grandpa has prostate cancer. Apparently he caught it early on but it was a 7 out of 9 on the aggressive scale. He finds out Friday if it spread to the bones. I’d like to know what are the chances of it spreading, and if it does how long would you expect him to live? He is 70 years old and weighs out 180 pounds if that makes any difference. Please help. I don’t much about this and I’m really freaking out.

A: Zack, I am a 67 year old prostate cancer survivor and when my cancer was found it was in the same stage as your grandpa’s. You can calm down and quit freaking! The treatments for this cancer were good when I was diagnosed 5 years ago and they have gotten a whole lot better yet. Your grandpa’s chances of living out his normal life are excellent and when his time comes he will probably pass away (as I will), from some other cause. Keep letting him know how much you care about him, and if you pray, let him know you are praying for him. My family’s support when I was undergoing treatment was a tremendous help to me. They made some dark days a whole lot brighter and I wouldn’t have wanted to go through the treatments without them!

Q: It is true that prolonged sexual abstinence is not healthy for the prostate?
Nocturnal emissions, prostatitis, prostate adenoma and prostate cancer – can be caused by (totally) prolonged sexual abstinence? Totally means no sex, no masturbation, total sexual inactivity. And please tell me where I can fin articles related to this subject. Thank You.

A: I have read articles that it helps a man’s prostate if he masterbates to orgasm at least 3 times per week after age 50.

Q: How long does it take to have an orgasm while massaging your prostate?
I learned how to massage my prostate, but I don’t get a kick out of it and my wrist starts hurting. Can you even get an orgasm massaging your own prostate?

A: The prostate itself doesn;t cause an orgasm, but it just releases more semen than normal

Q: After removing of the prostate how long will it take to be able to control your bladder?
My dad is going in to have his prostate removed surgically with a robot. My family wants to get him tickets to a sporting event 3 months after the surgery. If all goes well is it realistic to recover within 3 months of surgery. Can a person hold their urine that quickly after having that procedure done. Will he feel good enough to want to go? Or should we get him something else for X-MAS?

A: After prostate removal one is fitted with a catheter and either a collecting bag or else a tap on the end of it. This enables one to carry on normally without having to worry much about bladder control. One simply uses a toilet stall rather than a urinal when wanting to empty the bladder though the tap or to empty the bag.

Bladder control can take a month or two to be regained completely, but all should be normal after 3 months. Most sporting events have intervals during which people can visit the toilet without missing any action, so there should be no problems for your father.

Q: Can a colonoscopy help detect prostate cancer?
My father recently had a colonoscopy. After the colonoscopy, the doctor told him that the prostate was very firm and in good shape. How could he detect this?

A: The doctor sticks their finger inside the rectum when they lubricate the anus prior to the insertion of the colonoscope. At this time the doctor’s finger can and should feel the prostate which is just inside the anus. At this time the doctor can determine the size and firmness of the prostate.

Explain this to your dad for father’s day. He’ll be impressed.
